Indian Navy’s fifth stealth Scorpene class Submarine INS Vagir was commissioned into the Indian Navy at the Naval Dockyard Mumbai.
Six Scorpene Class submarines are being built in India by the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) Mumbai, under collaboration with M/s Naval Group, France under Project 75 (P75). Vagir has the distinction of having the lowest build time among all indigenously manufactured submarines.

The Monument Mitra scheme was transferred from the Ministry of Tourism to the Ministry of Culture.
Union Culture Secretary announced that the government will soon launch a revamped version of the Monument Mitra scheme under which the Culture Ministry will seek partnerships with private industries for upkeeping of 1,000 ASI monuments.

National Tourism Day is celebrated across the country on January 25 every year. The Ministry of Tourism observes National Tourism Day to spread awareness about the importance of tourism and its impact on the economy.
This year National Tourism Day is celebrated in the village of Pochampally of Telangana.

PepsiCo Foundation, the philanthropic arm of PepsiCo and CARE, launched ‘She Feeds the World’ program in India.
It aims to strengthen the role of small-scale women producers through sustainable training and economic support. The program will be implemented in the Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts of West Bengal.

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) proposes to use river names as tag line and branding for Indian agricultural products.
APEDA is identifying agricultural products that can be sourced from the Gangetic, Brahmaputra, Cauvery and Godavari river basins, among others. APEDA will showcase riverine source of agri exports as unique identifier.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India has decided to elevate bilateral relations with Egypt to a strategic partnership,
India and Egypt also exchanged Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) in the fields of cyber security, culture, information technology, youth matters and broadcasting. Exchange of commemorative postage stamps to mark the milestone of 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Egypt was also held.

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep S. Puri ceremonially inaugurated the demo-run of Inland Water Vessel powered by Methanol blended Diesel (MD15).
This is a run-up to India Energy Week 2023 (IEW 2023) to be held in Bengaluru in February 2023, The boat ride was done on a 50-seater motor launch marine vessel named ‘SB Gangadhar’.

India and Egypt signed an MoU to facilitate content exchange, capacity building, and co-productions between Prasar Bharati and the National Media Authority of Egypt.
Both broadcasters will exchange their programmes of different genres like Sports, News, Culture, Entertainment on a bilateral basis. The MOU will also facilitate co-productions and training of the officials of both broadcasters in the latest technologies.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head Arvind Kejriwal launched 400 “Aam Aadmi clinics” in Amritsar, Punjab.
The first set of 100 Mohalla clinics were opened in Punjab last year and more than 10 lakh people had availed health services in the Mohalla clinics.

South Africa has signed an agreement with India to introduce dozens of African cheetahs to India over the next decade.
In September, eight African cheetahs were released at Kuno National Park in central India after a 8,000 km journey from Namibia.
