The Aviation regulator – Directorate General of Civil Aviation has recently given an advisory to all airline operators in India to implement Child Restraint System. This is aimed to protect and restrain an infant during all the phases of a flight.
This system is a combination of internal harness and belt which needs to be interfaced with the seats.

Notes:
As per a recent study, Moths are vital to pollination in the Himalayan ecosystem of northeast India. The study highlights 91 species of moths as potential pollinators of 21 plant families in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
Diurnal are Day-Active Pollinators including bees and butterflies while nocturnal pollinators are active during the nights like moths and bats. Majority of the pollination-related studies are based on diurnal pollinators, so far.

For the second Games in a row, Norway topped the medal tally in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, with 16 golds. It was followed by Germany with 12 golds and China with 9.
The Games recently ended in the “Bird’s Nest” stadium, China and its President Xi Jinping handed over the games to 2026 hosts Milano-Cortina.

A 5,300-year-old skull has been found in a Spanish tomb ‘Dolmen de El Pendon’ by a group of archaeologists.
It is claimed to be the oldest evidence of ear surgery carried out in the world. Several cut marks are visible in the skull around the left ear canal, which shows mastoidectomy, a surgical procedure possibly performed. The skull belonged to a middle-aged woman, who lived in the Neolithic Age.

Biological E Limited’s Corbevax vaccine is India’s first indigenously developed Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) protein sub-unit vaccine against Covid-19.
It has received emergency use authorisation (EUA) from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for the 12 to 18 years age group. This is the third vaccine to receive EUA for 12-18 age group after Covaxin and Zydus Cadila’s DNA Covid-19 vaccine.

The 6th Anniversary of the launch of Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission was being observed recently.
It was launched under the Rural Development Ministry in 2016, to develop 300 clusters in the country by providing economic, social and physical infrastructure facilities.  The Ministry has approved 296 clusters under the Mission.

Professor Neena Gupta, a mathematician at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, was conferred the Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians.
She received the award for the year 2021 for her significant work in affine algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. The prize is awarded annually to a researcher from a developing country, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in association with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the International Mathematical Union (IMU).

JPMorgan Chase has opened a lounge in Decentraland, one of the most popular metaverses. It is the biggest bank in the US and has started exploring the opportunities in the virtual world known as the metaverse.
In Decentraland, one of the most popular metaverses, the bank’s Onyx lounge is in Metajuku, a virtual version of Tokyo’s Harajuku shopping district.

New Delhi Government has organised ‘Babasaheb: The Grand Musical’ play on the life of Dr BR Ambedkar
The Mega show runs at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with two shows a day. The inspirational life of Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar is depicted through a grand musical play which will be a treat to the audience.

The founder of the Hindu reform organisation Arya Samaj was Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He was born as Mool Shankar Tiwari on February 12, 1824, in Gujarat.
Dayananda Saraswati was an Indian philosopher and leader of reform movement of Vedic dharma. He was the one who first gave the call for Swaraj (India for Indians) in 1876, a call taken up by Lokmanya Tilak.
