Meghalaya launched the first Northeast India Organic Week with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements – Organics Asia (IFOAM-Organics Asia). The four-day event includes an APEDA buyer–seller meet and the 4th IFOAM World Organic Youth Summit. Delegates from 13 countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Mongolia, New Zealand, and Indonesia are attending. The aim is to make the Northeast a global organic hub and build long-term trade links. The event boosts farmer income, exports, and global visibility of Meghalaya’s organic produce.

Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative is a sub-scheme of Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP), a Central Sector Scheme. Total outlay is ₹277.35 crore for 2024–2027. It uses Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in e-commerce. MSMEs get access to Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) for online stores, digital payments, and logistics. The TEAM portal helps in digital registration and linking with Seller Network Participants (SNPs). It targets 5 lakh Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), with 50% women-owned. The scheme details were shared in Rajya Sabha by the Minister of State for MSMEs.

Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) is a Central Sector Scheme for the socio-economic empowerment of six notified minority communities. It focuses on skill development, women entrepreneurship, and education support for school dropouts. It aims to improve employment, livelihood, and leadership skills, and promote traditional arts and Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). 3% seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in all components. Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) must ensure 75% placement, with 50% in the organised sector as per National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Details were shared in Rajya Sabha by the Union Minister of Minority Affairs.

Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL)-PAHAL Scheme started in January 2015 under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It is India’s DBT system for subsidy transfer on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Consumers pay full market price, subsidy is transferred directly to their bank accounts. It covers more than 17 crore LPG consumers, making it world’s largest cash transfer program. Common LPG Database Platform (CLDP) helps remove duplicates and ineligible accounts using Aadhaar, bank, ration card, and TIN details. Biometric Aadhaar Authentication completed for 69% PMUY beneficiaries; mandatory for new connections. 8.63 lakh inactive PMUY connections terminated; SOP issued for inactive accounts. Details were shared in Rajya Sabha by the Shri Suresh Gopi, Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

As of now, 28 State and Union Territory (UT) Legislatures have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) implementation. 20 Legislatures are now fully digital using the NeVA platform. NeVA is a Mission Mode Project under the Digital India Programme to digitalise all 37 State/UT Legislatures. It includes backend computerisation, capacity building, and NeVA SeVA Kendras (NSKs) for member support. It follows “One Nation – One Application” with a single common platform. Fund support is provided for digitalisation of old records.

ISRO Chairman V Narayanan inaugurated Ananth Technologies’ Ananth Centre of Excellence for Navigation (ACEN) in Thiruvananthapuram. ACEN is India’s first private-sector navigation innovation hub. Ananth Technologies, founded in 1992, contributes to ISRO and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) missions with expertise in precision sensors, airworthiness, and system integration. Navigation is crucial for missiles, aircraft, ships, and satellites; reliance on foreign GPS revealed strategic vulnerabilities. ACEN will handle Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of navigation systems domestically.

National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC), an autonomous body under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, launched InDApp, India’s indigenous digital platform for MSMEs. InDApp is a single-window, integrated platform improving speed, transparency, and efficiency of MSME engagement It provides access to government approvals, real-time market information, financial subsidies, export schemes, technology upgrades, and business opportunities. It combines physical outreach with digital enablement for seamless entrepreneur support. It supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across sectors and regions.

The 46th Annual Conference of the Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP) was inaugurated at the Anthropological Survey of India (AnSI), Kolkata. The conference was organised jointly by IASP, National Atlas & Thematic Mapping Organisation (NATMO), and AnSI. The conference theme was “People, Planet, Prosperity: Demographic Drivers of India’s Inclusive Growth.” United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India felicitated the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) for receiving the 2025 United Nations Population Award (Institutional Category).

The 26th Hornbill Festival has been inaugurated at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Kohima, Nagaland. The festival coincides with Nagaland’s Statehood Day and will run for ten days. It brings together all major Naga tribes to celebrate tradition, folklore, music, craft, and cuisine. United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Austria, Malta, Switzerland joined as country partners, and Arunachal Pradesh as state partner. The festival has evolved from a tourism initiative into a global cultural platform attracting visitors and performers from India and abroad.

National Pollution Control Day is observed every year on 2 December in India. The day aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of pollution on the environment and human health. It honors the memory of victims of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, 1984. The day emphasizes the importance of pollution prevention and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
