Notes:
The University Grants Commission (UGC) asked all Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to nominate teachers for the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM). National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) is a flagship scheme of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It connects Mentors (guides) with Mentees (teachers) to share skills and improve teaching quality. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) designed the mission and released the NMM Blue Book.

Notes:
Taragiri (Yard 12653), the 4th Nilgiri Class ship under Project 17A, was delivered to the Indian Navy on 28 November 2025 at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Limited, Mumbai. It shows major progress in Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India) in warship construction. It revives the legacy of the old INS Taragiri (1980–2013). It was designed by the Warship Design Bureau (WDB) with high stealth, automation, survivability and firepower.

Notes:
The Prime Minister (PM) spoke about Ramban Sulai Honey in the 128th episode of Mann Ki Baat radio programme. This honey is made in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir from nectar of wild Sulai (basil) flowers. It is known for its rich taste, floral smell, high nutrition, and medicinal value. Bees collect nectar from Sulai flowers during August to October. The honey is crystal-clear, white to amber in colour, and rich in minerals, enzymes, and vitamins. It received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2021. It is selected under the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme of Government of India.

Rajasthan United Football Club (FC) won the 41st All India Governor’s Gold Cup International Football Tournament 2025 at Paljor Stadium. They defeated Services Football Team (FT) 1-0 in the final, with Joseph Lalvenhima scoring the only goal. Joseph Lalvenhima was awarded Man of the Match, while Naoba Meitei of Rajasthan United was Man of the Tournament Rajasthan United received Rs 3 lakh, trophy, and medals; runners-up got Rs 2 lakh, trophy, and medals.

Meghalaya launched the first Northeast India Organic Week with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements – Organics Asia (IFOAM-Organics Asia). The four-day event includes an APEDA buyer–seller meet and the 4th IFOAM World Organic Youth Summit. Delegates from 13 countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Mongolia, New Zealand, and Indonesia are attending. The aim is to make the Northeast a global organic hub and build long-term trade links. The event boosts farmer income, exports, and global visibility of Meghalaya’s organic produce.

Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative is a sub-scheme of Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP), a Central Sector Scheme. Total outlay is ₹277.35 crore for 2024–2027. It uses Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in e-commerce. MSMEs get access to Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) for online stores, digital payments, and logistics. The TEAM portal helps in digital registration and linking with Seller Network Participants (SNPs). It targets 5 lakh Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), with 50% women-owned. The scheme details were shared in Rajya Sabha by the Minister of State for MSMEs.

World Day of the Handicapped, also called the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), is observed every year on 3 December. It aims to promote awareness, understanding, and support for persons with disabilities. The day stresses the importance of inclusivity, accessibility, and equality in society. It works to ensure equal opportunities in education, employment, health, and social life. It also encourages governments and communities to protect rights and improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Members of the Bonda tribe in Malkangiri, Odisha, will shift from thatched huts to permanent pucca houses under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN). Bondas live mainly in Khairaput block, Odisha and are a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). They are among the oldest tribes of India with Austroasiatic origin. They are divided into Upper Bondas (hilly areas) and Lower Bondas (border regions).

Five products from Tamil Nadu received the Geographical Indications (GI – legal tag for regional products) status, raising the State’s total to 74 GI products. The products are Woraiyur cotton sari, Kavindapadi naatu sakkarai (jaggery powder), Thooyamalli rice, Namakkal makkal pathirangal (soapstone cookware), and Ambasamudram choppu saman (wooden toys). Woraiyur saris are woven in Tiruchi using cotton from Coimbatore and natural dyes. Kavindapadi jaggery is made from local sugarcane using slow juice evaporation. Thooyamalli is a 135–140 day sambha rice variety, applied by the Tamil Nadu State Agricultural Marketing Board with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) support. Namakkal soapstone cookware gained approval through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) support.

SEBI introduced SWAGAT-FI (Single Window Automatic & Generalised Access for Trusted Foreign Investors) to simplify Indian securities market access for low-risk foreign investors. It provides a unified registration for Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) and Foreign Venture Capital Investors (FVCIs), reducing repeated compliance and documentation. Low-risk investors include government-owned funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, regulated public retail funds, insurance companies, and pension funds. SWAGAT-FIs can invest in listed equities and debt as FPIs, and unlisted companies and startups as FVCIs.
