Notes:
NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) which is a joint mission of ISRO and NASA is proposed to be launched in 2023. It is focusing on making global measurement of land surface changes using advanced radar imaging. The information was given by Jitendra Singh, Earth Sciences Minister.
NISAR Satellite will be the first satellite to use dual frequencies. It will be used for remote sensing. It will be also used for global observations over all land masses including the Polar cryosphere and the Indian Ocean region i.e. it will help in understanding the natural processes of the Earth.

Government of India has appointed Deepak Das as the new Controller General of Accounts (CGA) of India. CGA comes under the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. Deepak Das is the 25th CGA. He is a 1986-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer. He earlier served as the Principal Chief Controller of Accounts in the Central Board of Direct Taxes. He has also been the Director of the Institute of Government Accounts and Finance (INGAF), the training academy of the Indian Civil Accounts Service.
He is an alumnus of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.

Hungarian Grand Prix, 2021 was held at the Hungaroring in Mogyorod, Hungary on August 1, 2021. Esteban Ocon won his maiden F1 race. Hungarian Grand Prix was the eleventh round of the 2021 Formula One World Championship. Esteban Ocon has now taken the Formula One Championship lead from Max Verstappen.
Esteban Ocon belongs to France and he competes for Alpine-Renault.
Formula One World Championship 2021 is a motor racing championship for Formula One cars. It is recognised by the International Automobile Federation which is the governing body of International motorsport. According to FIA, Formula One World Championship  is the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The championship is being conducted over 23 Grands Prix  across the world.
Lewis Hamilton is the defending World driver and Mercedes is the defending World constructor. They won the titles in 2020.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Indian Bank and IIT Bombay for extending credit facilities to Start-ups and MSMEs. The initiative is implemented by IIT Bombay. The initiative is named as Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE). Under this initiative, Indian Bank will extend loans of up to 50 crore rupees to these start-ups. Loans will be provided for the purchase of machinery and equipment and other working capital requirements.
Indian Bank is an Indian nationalised financial services and banking company. It was established in 1907. Its headquarter is in Chennai. It is under the ownership of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of India.
IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay was founded in 1958. In 1961, Parliament declared all the IITs as an institute of national importance. IIT Bombay is a public technical and research university located in Powai in Maharashtra.

The Italian luxury brand ‘Bvlgari’ has appointed Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the global brand ambassador.
Bvlgari is known for its gemstone jewellery, watches, fragrances, accessories and leather goods. Priyanka Chopra Jonas will support the Roman high jewellery house and promote brand around the world. The main focus will be on themes of women empowerment, diversity and inclusion.
Bulgari / Bvlgari was founded in 1884 by Sotirios Voulgaris.  Its headquarter is located in Rome, Italy. The current CEO of this brand is Jean-Christophe Babin.

“Delhi@2047” initiative was launched recently by Arvind Kejriwal. The aim of this initiative is to build partnerships with the private sector, CSR initiatives and  philanthropic organisations to achieve the vision for Delhi by 2047 and make Delhi as the Global city in the world. The main objectives under this initiative are Increasing Delhi’s per capita income to Singapore’s level, Providing 24*7 water supply before the upcoming elections, to bid for the 2048 Olympics, making roads as per the European standards and many other facilities.

DefExpo-2022 is scheduled to be held from 11-13 March, 2022 in Gandhinagar (Gujarat). Ministry of Defence organises Military exhibitions in form of the defence expo and the aero India every two years. DefExpo is basically the land and naval systems show of the Defence Ministry. The last edition of the DefExpo was held in Lucknow. Before 2014, It was used to be organised only in New Delhi.
Rajnath Singh is the Defence Minister of India.

Notes:
The Government of India, the Central Water Commission, government representatives from 10 participating states and the World Bank has signed a $250 million project for long-term dam safety program and improving the safety and performance of existing dams across various states of India. The project will be implemented in approximately 120 dams across the states of Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Odisha, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan and at the national level through the Central Water Commission (CWC).

The Union Cabinet has given its approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Institute of Space science and Technology (IIST) and The Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), for carrying out Research activities and Academic programmes which will involve faculty and students from each institution.
