Rashad Hussain is an American attorney, diplomat and professor. He has been nominated as the Ambassador-at Large for International Religious Freedom by Joe Biden, the President of USA. Rashad Hussain is Director for Partnerships and Global Engagement at the National Security Council.
He previously served as Senior Counsel at the Department of Justice’s National Security Division. He served as U.S. Special Envoy to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), U.S Special Envoy for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications and Deputy Associate White House Counsel.

Roberto Calasso was an Italian writer and publisher. Apart from his mother tongue, he was fluent in many languages such as French, English, German, Latin, Ancient Greek, Sanskrit. He was also called as “a literary institution of one”. His books reflected his esoteric interests. He wrote on Indian and Greek mythology, the Vedic age, Kafka, Baudelaire etc.

Britain won a gold medal recently at the Tokyo Olympics in a mixed 4x100m medley relay event which is a Swimming event. Four British swimmers including male and female both participated in the mixed 4x100m medley relay and they finished first by taking total time duration of  3:37.58s. They set a world record by finishing the event in this time duration. The four swimmers who set this world record are Kathleen Dawson, Adam Peaty, James Guy and Anna Hopkin.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) and State-run Convergence Energy Services Ltd. (CESL) collaborated for setting up EV Charging stations in metro cities across India including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru. CESL and HPCL will identify major highway across India where adequate charging infrastructure could be installed and established.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. is a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. Its headquarter is in Mumbai. It has approximately 25% market-share in India among public sector understandings and has a strong marketing infrastructure.
State-run Convergence Energy Services Ltd is a subsidiary of state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited. It is a joint venture of public sector companies under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is organised annually by World Health Organisation (WHO), World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) , United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The Breastfeeding week is marked every year from August 1 to August 8 i.e. the first week of August. The main motive of World Breastfeeding Week is to raise awareness on the importance of breastfeeding for mothers and infants. The theme of 2021 is “Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility”.
The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) was founded on 14 February 1999 by Anwar Fazal. Its headquarter is located in Penang (Malaysia).

In the month of July, 2021, India has recorded the highest ever monthly merchandise export. The merchandise exports rose to 35.17 billion dollars. According to the provisional data of the commerce industry, there was a healthy growth in the shipment of petroleum, engineering goods and gems and jewellery.
Merchandise Exports From India Scheme (MEIS) is notified by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and implemented by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Sydney McLaughlin created a world record after winning the women’s 400-metre hurdles in 51.46 seconds at Tokyo Olympics 2020 recently. Her previous record was of 51.90 seconds. She became the first woman to finish the race before 52 seconds in an event, when she set the record of 51.90 seconds at the USA Olympic trials of 2020. She belongs to the United States of America.
At the Tokyo Olympics 2020 event of the women’s 400-metre hurdles , Dalilah Muhammad won the Silver medal and Femke Bol won the Bronze medal.

Madras High Court has revoked a law that was passed by the state government of Tamil Nadu which banned online games like poker, rummy and other skill-based games that involve stakes. Quashing an amendment on the Tamil Nadu Gaming Act that banned online games, the court stated that complete ban on online games is disproportionate and irrational.

The Eighth Meeting of Ministers of Justice of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States will be held on 6th August, 2021 and it will be attended by Kiren Rijiju who is the Union Minister of Law & Justice. The Ministers of (Law and) Justice and senior officials/experts from the Ministries of Law & Justice of India, China, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Russian Federation and Uzbekistan will be participating in the Meeting.
