Presidents’ Day

The Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday observed in the US to pay tribute to all the US presidents. It was previously initiated to celebrated George Washington’s birth anniversary, which falls on 22nd February. This day was later moved to the third Monday of February under the Uniform Monday Holiday Act of 1971. This 1971 law seeks provide 3-day holidays for workers. Presidents’ Day never falls on the actual birthday of any president.
