MetroNeo

MetroNeo is a mass transit technology that is to be inaugurated at Nashik, Maharashtra. It is an energy efficient transport medium that is being proposed by the central government for adoption in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The service makes use of electric bus coaches and is capable of carrying 200 to 300 passengers at a time. They have rubber tyres but they derive the power from overhead electric wires like in case of trams or railways.
