• How it helps: Builds transmission lines, substations and Renewable Energy Management Centres for forecasting and real-time balancing.
• Grid benefit: Reduces congestion, curtailment and blackout risk by strengthening stability and coordination.
• Energy transition: Supports India’s shift away from coal-based power and enables higher non-fossil capacity.

By improving evacuation, storage integration and grid flexibility, the corridor makes renewable energy reliable and affordable. It is thus a key instrument to reduce dependence on conventional energy while meeting India’s climate and energy security goals.
