Jayen Mehta elected first chairman of SPCDF

Jayen Mehta was unanimously elected as the first chairman of the Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (SPCDF) on 8 May 2026. He is the Managing Director of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (Amul), and Sangram Chaudhary was elected vice-chairman of the federation.

Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited

The Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited is a newly formed multi-state cooperative federation in India. It was inaugurated on 6 July 2025 by the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

Election of Office-Bearers

The election of office-bearers took place at AmulFed Dairy in Gandhinagar, and the results were formally declared on 7 May 2026. Jayen Mehta’s name was proposed by Ashok Chaudhary and seconded by Shabesinh Parmar.

Board Composition and Tenure

The SPCDF board includes one representative each from the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. and its 10 member unions. It also includes three representatives from cooperative milk societies in Assam, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
