Germany to ease Visa applications to Indians

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited India recently. During his visit, the chancellor announced that Germany will ease the visa for Indians. This is being done to make Germany an attractive spot for IT investors and software developers. Applying German visa for work is very difficult. One needs to gain the right to be employed in German. Germany is now relaxing these terms for India. However, a Schengen visa or a tourist visa is easy to get.

Background

Most Germans do not speak English. And for this reason, the country did not or couldn’t allow foreigners inside. For some time, non-German speakers were not allowed to enter the country. You would get a visa only if you knew German. However, Germany is now relaxing its rules.

Current Scenario

Indians shall get Schengen Visa or a tourist visa to visit Germany. Schengen visa means a short-stay visa. With this visa, you may stay in Germany for 90 days. 27 European countries are offering this visa.
