e-Sushrut@Clinic Digital Health System

The Union Health Ministry is set to launch e-Sushrut@Clinic Digital Health System on 29 June 2026 in New Delhi. Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda will unveil the platform, which is a cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) for small outpatient clinics, primary health centres, health and wellness centres, and sub-centres across India.

e-Sushrut@Clinic as a Digital Health Platform

e-Sushrut@Clinic is a lightweight HMIS developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The platform is designed for clinic-level digital record management and is intended for facilities that handle outpatient services and primary care functions.

Core Functions and Technical Features

The system automates patient registration, billing, and management information system (MIS) reporting. It also includes speech-to-text documentation and clinical decision support systems, which are software tools used in digital health workflows.

Onboarding, Registry Linkages and Support Structure

The National Health Authority (NHA) will sign an MoU with C-DAC for financial and operational support. The support package includes cloud hosting and SMS notifications, and the onboarding process integrates the Health Professional Registry (HPR) and the Health Facility Registry (HFR).

Cost and Roll-out Details

As of 27 June 2026, more than 800 health facilities have been onboarded on e-Sushrut@Clinic and more than 680 health records have been generated. The estimated cost is ₹499 per month for five users, and the National Health Authority offers a ₹200 discount after an initial three-month free trial period, which makes the effective rate ₹299 per month.

User Access and Eligibility

Only healthcare professionals registered under the Health Professional Registry can use the platform. The system uses registry-based access control and facility-level onboarding for digital health operations.
