Kerala Tourism recently launched the ‘STREET’ (Sustainable, Tangible, Responsible, Experiential, Ethnic, and Tourism) project in select places in seven districts.
The project would help visitors experience the diversity of offerings in these places. In the first phase, the project would be implemented in Kadalundi in Kozhikode, Thrithala and Pattithara in Palakkad, Pinarayi and Ancharakkandi in Kannur, Maravanthuruthu and Manchira in Kottayam, Valiyaparamba in Kasaragod, Kanthalloor in Idukki and Chekadi in Wayanad.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released ‘The State of Food and Agriculture (SOFA) 2021’ report.
As per the report, food costs could increase for up to 845 million people if a disruption to critical transport links occurs. It also highlighted the need to make agri-food systems resilient to address food security.

‘Indian Organ Donation Day’ celebration has been organized by National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) in New Delhi on November 27.
The total number of organ transplants done per year in the country increased from 4990 in 2013 to 12746 in 2019. India now ranks third in the world only after USA and China as per the data available on the Global Observatory on Donation and Transplantation (GODT) website.

Under a recent operation undertaken by the INTERPOL codenamed ‘HAECHI-II’, enforcement agencies in more than 20 countries have arrested over 1,000 individuals and seized about $27 million of illicit funds.
The programme is a part of a crackdown on cyber-enabled financial crime. India also participated in the global operation. The exercise targeted specific types of online fraud, such as romance scams, investment fraud and money laundering linked to illegal online gambling.

Under Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojna, senior citizens of Delhi can go on pilgrimages at the government’s expense.
Kartarpur Sahib and Velankanni Church in Tamil Nadu have been recently added to the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojna’. The programme could not be held in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic outbreak.
