Conservatorship

Conservatorship is a type of adult guardianship followed in the USA. It is used in cases where an adult person isn’t capable of taking life decisions and is usually appointed by the court in cases of dementia, old age, physical or mental limitations or developmental disability. The conservator is usually a family member or an institution that gets the conservatorship of such individuals by filing a petition at the court.
