What is Aitoffs Projection in Geography?

Aitoffs Projection is Homolographic Projection or an equal area, wherein the whole of the earth’s surface is represented on an ellipse. Land masses near to the centre of the map have acute shape, but those near to the eastern and western margins are badly distorted in their formation.
