Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM)

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has announced that the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) will be held on January 9th, 2023. The event will be held in 242 districts across states and union territories, and is open to all individuals who are interested in pursuing apprenticeship training with local businesses.

Registration for PMNAM is now open on the official website, apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Interested candidates are encouraged to register as soon as possible in order to secure a spot at the event.

Opportunities for Youth

PMNAM offers a unique opportunity for local youth to shape their careers through apprenticeship training. Participating businesses will have the chance to meet potential apprentices on a single platform and choose applicants on the spot, providing them with an opportunity to strengthen their livelihood and learn new skills.

The government is aiming to train 1 million youth per year through this initiative and platform. In addition to the valuable on-the-job training that will be provided, candidates will also earn National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET)-recognized certifications upon completion of the training session. This will help to improve their employability and increase their chances of finding long-term employment.

Eligibility and Requirements

To be eligible for PMNAM, candidates must have successfully cleared class 5 to class 12 and must have skill training certificates, or ITI diploma holders or graduates. In addition to their educational qualifications, candidates must also bring several documents to the event, including three copies of their resume, three copies of all marksheets and certificates, a photo ID (such as an Aadhaar card, driving license, or PAN card), and three passport size photographs.

PMNAM is a fantastic opportunity for local youth to gain valuable on-the-job training and earn NCVET-recognized certifications. With the participation of several local businesses, candidates will have the chance to choose the best employer for their needs, while businesses will have the chance to select the most suitable candidates.
