Devidhura or Bagwal Mela is held at Maa Barahi Devi Temple in Devidhura village, Champawat district. This fair occurs annually on Raksha Bandhan and involves a traditional ritual of stone-throwing, now replaced by fruits and flowers. It attracts thousands of devotees and tourists from the Kumaon region and Nepal.

Nanda Raj Jat Yatra is a traditional pilgrimage in Uttarakhand. The procession includes both Chausinya, a ritual umbrella, and Chhantoli, a decorated canopy, as important symbolic elements used during the journey.

“Jagar” refers to devotional or folk songs performed to awaken deities or societal conscience. The term originates from Sanskrit roots meaning wakefulness or vigilance. These songs are sung during rituals or vigils to inspire moral and cultural awareness, not merely for entertainment.

The Winterline Carnival is held annually in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. It occurs every December and is named after the winterline atmospheric phenomenon seen here, where a false horizon appears at dusk. The event features local culture, food, music, and tourism activities, attracting visitors during the winter season in Mussoorie.
