The fourth and final meeting of the G-20 Framework Working Group (FWG) under India’s G-20 Presidency will be held in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur.
Around 65 delegates from G20 members and invitee countries, international and regional organisations attended the meeting which marked the culmination of the work done by the FWG during India’s Presidency of the grouping.

Notes:
Google is introducing Bard, its artificially intelligent chatbot, to other members of its digital family including Gmail, Maps and YouTube.
Bard’s expanded capabilities will be provided through an English-only extension that will enable users to allow the chatbot to mine information embedded in their Gmail accounts as well as pull directions from Google Maps and find helpful videos on YouTube.

The Indian government has announced the establishment of Rashtriya Vigyan Puruskar, a series of awards to honor scientists in India.
These awards will be presented under four categories, including Vigyan Ratna for lifetime achievement, Vigyan Shri for distinguished contributions, Vigyan Yuva Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar to encourage young scientists, and Vigyan Team for recognizing teams of scientists. The awards will commence in 2024 and will cover 13 domains, ranging from Physics to Environmental Science.

A report by Azim Premji University titled ‘State of Working India 2023’ highlights the impact of India’s economic slowdown from 2018-2020 and the subsequent Covid-19 pandemic on the labor market. The report reveals that the workforce has shifted more towards self-employment during this period, with women being disproportionately affected.

The words “Socialist” and “Secular” were added to the Preamble through the Constitution (42nd Amendment) Act, 1976, during the period of Emergency under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s government.
Recently, it was claimed that the words “socialist” and “secular” were missing from the Preamble of the copies of the Constitution handed out to Member of Parliaments while moving to the new Parliament building.

Recently, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) launched the ‘Swachhata Train’ initiative as part of Swachhata Pakhwada to promote waste management awareness and cleanliness in the city.
It aimed to raise consciousness regarding the significance of cleanliness and waste management within the city.

A biodiversity knowledge centre named Neelakkurinji has been recently opened in Adimaly in Idukki district of Kerala. The biodiversity centre is located at the entry point of the Munnar hill station.
The centre has been set up by the Kerala State Haritha Keralam Mission, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Idukki district panchayat.

PhonePe announced the launch of Indus Appstore developer platform, as a Made-in-India app store. At present, the app developers work with only the Google Playstore.
For startups and new app launches, Indus Appstore will have a dedicated destination called ‘Launch Pad’ to provide these new apps with better visibility.

In Telangana, Pembarthi and Chandlapur have been chosen by the Ministry of Tourism as the best tourism villages in Telangana for the year.
Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy said both the villages will receive awards on the occasion of World Tourism Day during a special function in New Delhi. The Centre recognised the handicrafts and tourism places in Telangana and had recognised Bhoodan Pochampalli as a tourism village two years ago.
