The State of Rajasthan has approved to allocate Rs 256.46 crore for the construction of a high-level bridge over the Chambal River in Kota district. The earlier budget allocation was Rs 165 crore for the project.
The bridge, set to be built promises to provide a shorter travel route and enhanced convenience for the people.

Astronomers recently discovered “Bubble of galaxies” an enormous cosmic bubble packed with galaxies that stretches nearly 1 billion light-years across and located within our galactic neighborhood. It is estimated to be located just 820 million light years from our galaxy.
Within this vast bubble, called “Ho’oleilana,” lies the Bootes supercluster of galaxies, surrounded by an expansive void known as “the Great Nothing.”

The state Government of Madhya Pradesh has changed the name of the state-run housing scheme, previously known as Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana, to Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana.
The decision was unanimously approved by the state cabinet. Under this scheme, homeless citizens from all categories will be eligible for housing benefits from the state government.

‘Exercise Eagle Partner’ is a joint military exercise between USA and Armenia. Around 85 U.S. soldiers will train with 175 Armenian troops during this exercise.
These exercises are happening at a time when Armenia is expressing frustration over Russia’s perceived failure to act as a security guarantor, particularly regarding its tensions with historic rival Azerbaijan.

India and the UK have announced the launch of an infrastructure financing bridge to facilitate major infrastructure projects, as revealed by India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.
The two nations have also agreed to conduct investment negotiations concurrently with goods negotiations as part of their free trade agreement (FTA) discussions.

A study warns that the invasive non-native ant species, the red fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), has become established in Italy and poses a threat to Europe and the UK due to global heating.
These ants have a powerful sting, damage crops, and can infest electrical equipment. They are known to form “super colonies” rapidly, prey on invertebrates, vertebrates, and plants, and out-compete native ants, insects, and herbivores for food. The red fire ant is considered one of the most destructive invasive species globally, causing an estimated $6 billion in damage each year.

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved the implementation of the ‘Aspirational City Scheme’ in 100 of the most backward urban areas with populations ranging from 20,000 to 1 lakh.
Under this scheme, projects will be executed through funding from government schemes, including central and state government programs, as well as MP and MLA funds. The selection of these 100 aspirational urban areas will be based on 16 parameters set by NITI Aayog among the 762 urban areas.

Germany have won their first-ever FIBA Basketball World Cup title by beating Serbia 83-77. Germany became the first team to win a FIBA World Cup crown in their final debut since Spain in 2006.
The two teams, who boast strong teamwork and chemistry, traded baskets in the first half, and entered the break at 47 apiece. But Germany built up a 12-point lead late on in the third quarter.

On the birth anniversary of Dravidian icon C N Annadurai 15 September, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched ₹1,000 monthly financial assistance scheme for women.
The state identified 1.06 crore women who will benefit from the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai (women’s basic income) scheme.
