The state Government of Madhya Pradesh has changed the name of the state-run housing scheme, previously known as Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana, to Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana.
The decision was unanimously approved by the state cabinet. Under this scheme, homeless citizens from all categories will be eligible for housing benefits from the state government.

India proposed to launch a G-20 Satellite Mission for Environment and Climate Observation, with an aim to help the countries of the Global South.
Prime Minister Modi said the G-20 satellite mission would be beneficial for all of humanity just as the data obtained from India’s successful Chandrayaan moon mission.

Russian chess player Alexander Grischuk has recently lifted the Blitz chess title, on the final day of the Tata Steel Chess India tournament.
The Russian is already a three-time World champion in this format.  He has competed in five Candidates Tournaments.

Scientists at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have unveiled a groundbreaking approach for cancer treatment with the potential for early detection and the targeted elimination of lung and cervical cancer cells.
India is projected to witness approximately 29.8 million cancer cases by 2025, particularly in North and northeast regions.

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved the implementation of the ‘Aspirational City Scheme’ in 100 of the most backward urban areas with populations ranging from 20,000 to 1 lakh.
Under this scheme, projects will be executed through funding from government schemes, including central and state government programs, as well as MP and MLA funds. The selection of these 100 aspirational urban areas will be based on 16 parameters set by NITI Aayog among the 762 urban areas.

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced the Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana under the Nand Baba Mission to enhance cattle breeds and boost milk production in the state.
The scheme aims to improve cow breeds, particularly Sahiwal, Gir, Tharparkar, and Gangatiri, to increase milk production and the income of dairy farmers. The government will provide a 50% subsidy on the estimated cost of Rs 62.5 lakh for establishing a unit of 25 milch cows, with a maximum subsidy of Rs 31.25 lakh per beneficiary.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited and Nayara Energy, a new-age international downstream Energy Company of International scale, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to explore opportunities in the Green Hydrogen and Green Energy space.
The MoU envisages to collaborate and produce Green Hydrogen for Nayara Energy’s captive usage, accelerate decarbonisation and catalyse reduction in carbon footprint.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) organised a festival of democracy ‘Vaishali’ in Nalanda University, Bihar.
September 15 is celebrated the world over as the International Day of Democracy. Vaishali in Bihar is the place where the roots of democracy are traced. The ICCR is an autonomous body under the administrative control of the ministry of external affairs.

NavIC stands for Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC), which is a navigation system established by ISRO. It is a regional navigation satellite system which was erstwhile known as Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS).
The Indian government will soon require smartphones to integrate with the NavIC, according to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology. By January 1, 2025, 5G phones will need to offer mandatory support for NavIC, while other phones operating in the L1 band currently using GPS must provide NavIC support by December 2025.

Russia chess player Aleksey Grebnev clinched the Tata Steel Asian junior title, playing under the FIDE flag.
He added another championship by claiming the blitz title to bring some cheer to Russian chess. G. Teswaini claimed the championship in the classical event, and Bommini Mounika Akshaya won the blitz title.
