Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron (1TS), which is based in Kochi, is part of the Southern Naval Command, the Indian Navy’s Training Command.
The ships of the First Training Squadron namely INS Tir and ICGS Sarathi, visited Port Antiromantic, Madagascar from March 20 to 23 this year.

Museum of London Docklands was founded in 2003 to highlight the history of the River Thames, the growth of the Port of London and the docks’ historical ties to the Atlantic slave trade.
An exhibition titled “Indo + Caribbean: The creation of a culture” is set to be unveiled in this museum to explore the underrepresented history of Indian indentured labourers in the British Caribbean.

Dama celiae is an extinct species of fallow deer with two-pointed antlers. It lived Europe during the Pleistocene epoch, around 365,000 and 295,000 years ago.
The fossilized remains of Dama celiae, including a rib with seven cut marks, were collected from the sand quarries of Pedro Jaro I and Orcasitas in the Manzanares valley.

The Centre for Processing Accelerated Corporate Exit (C-PACE) is going to be set up by the Indian Government to process and dispose of applications for removal of company names from the records under the companies law.
It will help ease the process of closing down businesses and getting their names removed from the Register of Companies. Ministry of Corporate Affairs will implement the process.

Captive Employment Initiative was launched by the Central Government under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Kaushalya Yojana.
Under this initiative, captive employers will train rural poor youth and provide them with jobs in their company or subsidiary.

The first International Quantum Communication Conclave was held on March 28 and 29 this year in Delhi.

Russia’s Navy has test fired supersonic antiship missiles at a mock target in the Sea of Japan.

AFINDEX-2023, the second edition of The Africa-India Field Training Exercise concluded recently in Pune.
It was held from March 16 to 29 this year. A total of 25 countries of the African continent with 124 participants and Indian troops from the Sikh, Maratha and Mahar Regiments participated in the multinational exercise.

India-Romania Defence Cooperation Agreement, was recently signed by the two countries.
It will set the foundation for the practical cooperation between the armed forces. It will help expand the military relationship between the two signatories.
