The Indian Space Agency ISRO is conducting a controlled re-entry of a decommissioned Indo-French satellite, Megha-Tropiques-1 (MT1), jointly developed to study tropical weather and climate.
The satellite was launched in 2011 and exceeded its intended operational lifespan until 2021. ISRO is using its remaining onboard fuel to precisely maneuver the satellite for a controlled atmospheric re-entry, predicted to splash down in the Pacific Ocean.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a new mission called “Har Payment Digital” as part of its efforts to make every Indian a user of digital payments.
The initiative was launched during the Digital Payments Awareness Week and aims to reinforce the ease and convenience of digital payments, while also onboarding new users.

Nagaland’s first woman Minister Salhoutuonuo Kruse assumes office on Women’s Day eve. Salhoutuonuo Kruse made history by becoming Nagaland’s first woman minister.
The berth in the Nagaland cabinet led by Neiphiu Rio came five days after she and Hekani Jakhalu were elected as the first women MLAs of the State. Both represent the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).

Influenza sub-type H3N2 is recently causing a surge in hospitalizations due to respiratory illness across India. H3N2 is responsible for at least 92 percent of all severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and outpatient influenza-like illnesses.
This virus was responsible for causing the 1968 pandemic that resulted in deaths of over a million people. This flu pandemic is known as called Hong Kong flu pandemic of 1968.

The UK’s Illegal Migration Bill, introduced by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, aims to tackle the issue of illegal immigration by preventing thousands of migrants from crossing the English Channel on small boats.
The bill empowers the UK government to detain and deport anyone who arrives in the country illegally, with few exceptions. It allows the British Parliament to set a quota on the number of immigrants allowed in the country.

Chabahar Port is a seaport located in southeastern Iran on the Gulf of Oman. It is the only oceanic port in Iran.
India has announced that it would deliver 20,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan via the Chabahar Port in Iran. The shipment will be sent in partnership with the UN World Food Programme.

India hosted the third session of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (NPDRR) at New Delhi.
Over 1200 subject experts, practitioners, academicians and delegates deliberated upon various cross cutting issues on disaster risk reduction based on the 10-point agenda on Disaster Risk Reduction given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sendai Framework.

V883 Orionis is a protostar that is in the Orion constellation and is associated with IC 430, a unique Hαobject, which is believed to be part of the Orion Nebula cluster.
Gaseous water has been detected in the planet-forming disc around the V883 Orionis using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). This discovery backs the hypothesis that water on Earth is older than the Sun.

The 18th meeting of the Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was held in New Delhi, India.
The first meeting was held in 2006 in Shanghai. The last edition was held in Dushanbe. The 18th meeting involved interactions between the Chief Justices from member or observer states and representatives from the SCO Secretariat and SCO RATS (Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure).

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has released a draft of the Master Plan for Delhi-2041 (MPD), which aims to guide the city’s development in various areas.
The plan focuses on achieving environmentally sustainable development, providing a good quality of life for residents, addressing climate change issues, and creating a dynamic environment for economic, creative, and cultural growth. This is the fourth Master Plan for Delhi.
