Primitive meteorite

Primitive meteorites are rocky or metallic masses that originate from the solar nebula that gave rise to our solar system. This category of meteorites have chemical compositions that are mostly unchanged since their origin in the nebula some 4.5 billion years ago. This is unlike in case of the other category of meteorites called the processed meteorites. Their composition is very similar to that of the sun except in their lack of certain gases like hydrogen and helium and other volatile compounds. The recently spotted meteorite in the UK is a primitive meteorite.
