Hilary Mantel wins 2009 Man Booker Prize

Hilary Mantel, a British Writer has won Man Booker Prize. She won the award for “Wolf Hall” which is a historical novel.This novel is set in the 1520’s and charts the rise of Thomas Cromwell, the son of a blacksmith who became the powerful chief minister to King Henry VIII, helping the monarch break the English Church’s ties with Rome.
