Energy island

Energy islands act as a hub for electricity generation from offshore wind farms and distribute the power to surrounding areas. Denmark recently approved plans to build the world’s first artificial energy island in the middle of the North Sea. This is in line with the Denmark government’s decision to initiate construction of two energy islands for exporting power to mainland and neighboring countries like Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
