Tony Joseph wins Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize

New Delhi based Journalist and English author, Tony Joseph won the 12th edition of Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize.

Tony Joseph won the award for his book ‘Early Indians: The Story of Our Ancestors and Where We Came From’ which tells about the story of origins of the first humans who occupied the Indian subcontinent through research in six disciplines population genetics, social history, biology, archaeology, linguistics and also includes the path-breaking new DNA evidence.

Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize is a literary award for debut writers, writing their first book in the following genres: poetry, drama, graphic novels, fiction, and creative non-fiction. It is organized by the Shakti Bhatt Foundation and was first awarded in 2008.
