ALH MK III helicopters have been indigenously manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
An advanced light helicopter (ALH) MK III squadron was commissioned in Gujarat’s Porbandar by the Director General of the Indian Coast Guard at the ICG Air Enclave. It includes advanced RADAR, electro-optical sensors, Shakti engines, advanced communication systems among others.

Notes:
NATO member Turkey has agreed to support Sweden and Finland’s membership of the alliance. It had initially opposed the bids of the Nordic countries to join.
A trilateral deal was reached at a meeting between Turkey’s President, Finland’s President and the Swedish Prime Minister in the Spanish capital, Madrid. Foreign Ministers from the three countries signed a joint security pact that addressed Turkey’s concerns.

The PSLV Orbital Experimental Module is a platform which is used to perform in-orbit experiments using the final stage of ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).
In the PSLV rocket, first three stages fall back into the ocean and the final stage (PS4) ends up as space junk, after launching the satellite into orbit.  POEM has a Navigation Guidance and Control (NGC) system for attitude stabilisation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated Bosch India’s first smart campus in the city of Bengaluru built at a cost of Rs 800 crore.
This campus will be used in developing futuristic products and solutions for India and for the world. The inauguration of the Spark.NXT Campus of Bosch India coincided with the 75^th anniversary of Indian independence.

NITI Aayog and World Food Programme (WFP) have launched a report titled ‘Take Home Ration-Good Practices across the State/Union Territories’.
The report presents a set of good and innovative practices adopted in the implementation of the Take Home Ration (THR) value chain by the States and UTs. Take Home Ration has been provided in Indian under the Supplementary Nutrition component of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).

The Delhi government introduced new assessment guidelines for school students. Under the new criteria, students will now be assessed for the impact of mindset curricula in their behaviour, along with other scholastic subjects.
It includes Happiness and Deshbhakti curricula for classes 3-8, while students of Class 9 and Class 11 will be assessed for Deshbhakti and Entrepreneurship Mindset Curricula.

Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) announced that the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) will be included in the Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) scheme.
The new facility will provide direct government benefits to all apprentices. Earlier, companies would pay apprentices the full amount and then seek reimbursement from the government. In 2016, the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) was launched to promote apprenticeship training in the country and to provide financial support to establishments pursuing apprenticeships.

Varroa destructor is an external parasitic mite that attacks and feeds on the honey bees. The Varroa mite reproduces only in a honey bee colony.
After the detection of the Varroa destructor mite, Australia is taking measures to protect its honey bees. The mite has caused severe collapses of honey bee colonies in the US and other part of the world.

The Delhi Assembly passed bills to hike salaries and allowances by over 66% of its members.
Five different bills were tabled for the hike in salaries of ministers, MLAs, chief whip, Speaker and Deputy Speaker, and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, which were passed by the members.

Iran clinched Asia Title in the Under-15 Asian Wrestling Championship while Kazakhstan was runner-up. India secured 3rd place with 172 Points.
The Indian Under-15 Greco Roman Wrestling Team clinched two gold, two silver and four bronze medals in the Championship being held at Bahrain. Sachin in the 68 kg and Abhay in the 72 kg bagged gold medals in their respective categories.
