British Racing Driver and World Champion Lewis Hamilton has clinched the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix title.
Another French driver Romain Grosjean survived a horrific collision with a barrier on the opening lap. With this victory, Lewis Hamilton has won his 95th Formula one title. This is also his 11th victory of the season.

Notes:
INS Vikrant is the first indigenous aircraft carrier of India. The sea trials are expected to begin in 2021 and it will be commissioned by 2022.
Also called as the ‘Indigenous Aircraft Carrier 1 (IAC-1)’, INS Vikrant has been constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi, Kerala for the Indian Navy. Recently, the two organisations completed the Basin Trials of the aircraft carrier.

Recently, a NGR (negotiating group on rules) meeting on fisheries subsidies was organized by the World Trade Organization.
Indian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO has stated that member countries should cut down subsidies on unsustainable fishing which leads to the problem of over fishing. India also asked to reduce the role of dispute panels in fisheries management.

The Hayabusa2 spacecraft belonging to Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAEA) has successfully separated from a capsule in space, and is descending toward Earth.
The capsule is carrying samples from distant asteroid that is expected to provide information about the origin of Earth. The spacecraft was launched from Japan last year.

India’s national think-tank – NITI Aayog has released a draft paper titled “Guiding principles for the uniform national-level regulation of online fantasy sports platforms in India”.
As per the released report, online sports fantasy sector in India has a huge FDI potential of Rs.10,000 crore in the upcoming years and can generate 1.5 billion transactions by 2023.

A comic book depicting India’s glorious Naval past and maritime heritage has been released by the Navy Vice Chief Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar.
The book has been published in association with Amar Chitra Katha and has been released on the occasion of Naval Day Celebrations. The book is the first in series of three comic books.

In the year 2013, a nine-year-old named Ella Adoo Kissi-Debrah living in the UK, died after suffering from breathing difficulties and asthma.
Recently in 2019, the child’s family has sought for a legal inquest on the issue, to assess the level of air pollution in the city. If this campaign turns out successful, the United Kingdom will have the first foul death, a death occurring due to high air pollution.

The World Economic Forum has announced that it will hold its 2021 annual meeting in Singapore instead of its traditional venue of Davos, Switzerland.
As there is a surge in coronavirus infections observed in the country of Switzerland, the venue has been shifted. In the year 2022, the annual meeting will return to Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

ICICI Bank has recently launched a new mobile banking application named ‘iMobile Pay’, which can offer payments and banking services to customers of any bank.
Through the app, customers can pay to any UPI (Unified Payments Interface) ID or merchants, pay bills and do online recharges among others. It also enables users to access instant banking services like loans, credit cards, gift cards, travel cards and more.

The government of Australia has proposed to charge fee from Facebook and Google’s media outlets, for news content.
This move has been proposed for protecting independent journalism in the country.
These big tech firms have to pay to local publishers and broadcasters for their content that appears on the firm’s platforms.
