Kerala CM launched Super Fab Lab

The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the country’s first Super Fab Lab (Fabrication Laboratory) on Saturday, 25th January 2020 at the Integrated Startup Complex (ISC) of the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and from Palakkad, he launched the facility through remote control where he attended a function at the Government Polytechnic College. This fab lab is the only facility outside the United States that will function in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The KSUM Super Fab Lab enables the state to produce machines locally for any purpose and boost the hardware industry of India by allowing developers, innovators, and researchers to do things beyond their purview of the state’s existing fab labs.

The state- of- art facility comprises 10,000 square feet area and has state of the art machines worth more than Rs. 7 crores and is all set to make Integrated Startup Complex one of the country’s most desirable investment hubs.
