For the first time in nearly two decades, Philippines will host the 2015 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ summit in Manila The first time the Philippines hosted the summit was in 1996. This year, under the theme of “Building Inclusive Economies, Building a Better World”, Manila will push for inclusive growth, highlighting the role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which account for more than 97 per cent of businesses in APEC economies.
