In comparison to the simple and less ambitious eight MDGs, the SGDs are a mammoth list of goals and targets. Discuss critically.

Hint:
Eight MDGs adopted in 2000 were converted to Sustainable Development Goals in September 2015 in Rio 20+ summit. They deal with ‘five Ps’ people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership. SDGs ought to be more ambitious in comparison to MDGs but have mammoth size which may lead to failure.
Many of the targets are not clearly defined.  As per report by ICSU and ISSC only 29% of the targets in 169 SDGs are well defined. It requires huge domestic resource mobilization by increased tax collection and better international tax cooperation which could be cumbersome to manage.
