Akasa Air gets DGCA’s Air License

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) gave the “Air Operator Certificate” to Akasa Air on July 7, 2022.

Significance of the operator certificate

Receiving the “Air Operator Certificate” is an important milestone. This certificate has enabled the carrier to open their flights for sale. It has also led to start of commercial operations.

First crew uniform

The Akasa airline also unveiled the first look of its crew uniform. The uniform focuses to provide best possible stretch, in order to ensure comfort of the crew over busy flight schedules. Akasa has become the first Indian airline to introduce the custom trousers and jackets. Fabric of the cloth has been made by using recycled polyester fabric. Recycled polyester fabric has been made using pet bottle plastic recovered from marine waste. Akasa will also provide comfortable sneakers for in-flight crew, considering the aesthetics, ergonomics, and comfort.

Brand logo

Brand logo for the company was unveiled in December 2021. Logo has been inspired by element of the sky.
