Raghuram Rajan to be new CEA

  • imageRaghuram Rajan will take the place of Kaushik basu as the Chief Economic Adviser. 
  • The selection was made by Prime Minister’s Economic advisory council headed by C.Rangarajan.
  • Mr. Rajan has been former Chief Economist of International Monetary Fund.
  • Currently Rajan is the Eric J Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
