Lata Mangeshkar honoured with the First Hridaynath Award
Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary playback singerwas honoured with the first Hridaynath award for her contribution to Indian music . The award was presented to her on September 28, 2011 on her 82nd birthday. The award carries a cheque of Rs one Lakh, a trophy and a shawl. It was instituted by Hridayesh Art, a Mumbai- based socio-cultural organization in honour of Lata Mangeshkar’s brother, Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
