The Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station is one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in India and has been operational since 2004. The project has an installed capacity of 1,500 MW and generates over 6,000 million units of electricity annually. The Rampur Hydro Power Station, commissioned in 2014, has an installed capacity of 412 MW and generates over 1,700 million units of electricity annually.
