Madhya Pradesh has the largest forest cover of 77,522 sq. km. in terms of area in the country followed by Arunachal Pradesh with forest cover of 67,321 sq. km. Tuticorin, also known as Thoothukudi is a port city in Tamil Nadu. The city is famous for pearl fishing. 

Notes:
Mishmi Hills are on the Northeastern tip of India, in central Arunachal Pradesh. They are also a part of Shan-Malaysia plate. Dafla Hill is a tract of hilly country on the border of western Arunachal and Assam occupied by an independent tribe called Daphla. Nallamala hills are located in the Eastern Ghats in eastern Andhra Pradesh.

Flamingo Festival
Flamingo Festival was organized at Sullurpeta near the Pulicat lake bird sanctuary in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh in December 2015. The festival is held every year to bring together the people and various departments in the task of preserving the Pulicat Lake and surroundings. Every year approximately 15,000 Greater Flamingos are reported to visit the lake along with pelicans, kingfishers, herons, painted storks, spoonbills and ducks.
Dree Festival
The Dree Festival is an Apatani agricultural rite in Arunachal Pradesh. It involves the sacrifice of fowls, eggs and animals to the gods – Tamu, Metii and Danyi Pilo(Sun and Moon God). The purpose of the festival is to appease these gods so that famine could be avoided. This rite is observed by the Apatanis in Arunachal Pradesh. The Apatanis, who inhabit a tranquil pine clad valley called Ziro at the core of Lower Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh, are famous for their unique practice of wet rice cultivation.
Hornbill Festival
It’s a festival in Nagaland.

Desert National Park, Rajasthan is India’s largest national park by India. It is followed by Hemis and Namdhapa.

Mithun is also known as ‘Cattle of Mountain’ or the ‘ship of the highland’. It is a state animal of Arunachal Pradesh. It is considered a descendent of the wild Indian gaur or bison. It produces only about 1-1½ litres of milk a day, but it is considered to be nutritionally superior to cow or goat milk. It was recently in news when president’s rule was imposed in Arunachal Pradesh after a Mithun being slaughtered outside the Raj Bhavan.

During President’s rule (Article 356), the executive power shifts from the council of ministers to the governor of the state. According to Article 356, President’s rule can be imposed in a state if a situation has arisen in which the government of the state cannot be carried on in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution. Once President’s rule is imposed, the assembly ceases to function and the state comes under the Central government’s direct control. The executive power shifts from the council of ministers to the governor. Once imposed, President’s rule must be approved by Parliament within a period of two months. It can’t last for more than six months unless its extension is approved by Parliament.

Shi Yomi has become the 23rd district of Arunachal Pradesh, after it was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu in presence of Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju. The district was carved out of the West Siang district with its headquarters at Tato. It has four administrative units namely Mechuka, Tato, Pidi and Manigong. Earlier, on 29th August 2018, the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly passed a bill for the creation of 3 new districts — Pakke-Kesang, Lepa Rada and Shi Yomi. Soon, two other districts will be fromalyy inaugurated, which takes the total districts in the state to 25. The Pakke-Kessang district will be carved out of East Kameng district with five administrative units namely Pakke-Kessangn, Seijosa, Pijiriang, Passa Valley and Dissingn Passo with district headquarters at Lemmi. The other district Lepa Rada would be created by bifurcating the Lower Siang district with headquarters at Basar with four administrative units – Tirbin, Basar, Daring and Sago.

The 52nd Boori Boot Yollo festival 2019 has recently celebrated by the Nyishi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. The fest is observed in the month of February every year to welcome spring and a successful harvest. During this festival, the consecrated soul is summoned to sanctify the people. Apart from it, it is an occasion of mass prayer for prosperity eliminating the possibility of any fatal ailments. The striking feature here is the giant assemblage of people cutting across the barriers of cast, creed, age and sex. The young ones take the lead to be guided by the elders where Nibu (Priest) would perform the rituals. The festival has an anthem which speaks of the sun rising, planets, mighty rivers, flora and fauna. A portion of the lyric deals with the earth which keeps on rotating around the sun along with other heavenly bodies.

Arunachal Pradesh borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and is separated from China in the north by the McMahon Line. Itanagar is the capital of the state.

Dhankar Monastery is present at 12,774 feet above sea level of Lahaul and Spiti of Himachal Pradesh. Rumtek monastery is important and largest monastery of Sikkim, 24 km away from Gangtok. Tabo monastery is situated at a distance of about 50 kilometres from Kaza in Lahual district of Himachal Pradesh.  Kye Monastery is situated 12 kms north of Kaza of Himachal Pradesh, not in Arunachal Pradesh.
