Recently, Agni-IV missile with strike range of 4,000 km was successfully test-fired from the Wheeler Island, off the Odisha coast. This was the fifth trial of Agni-IV missile. The indigenously developed surface-to-surface Agni-IV missile is a two-stage weapon system. It is 20 metres long and weighs 17 tonnes. Agni-I, II and III and Prithvi missiles are already in the arsenal of the armed forces, giving them reach of over 3,000 km.
