Notes: Ghaghara river originates in the southern slopes of the Himalayas in Tibet, in the glaciers of Mapchachungo. It passes through Nepal and then flows southeast through Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to join the Ganga. In Bihar,  It enters the Chapra district firstly. It covers a distance of 1080 Km to reach Bihar. It carries more water than the Ganga before its convergence.
