Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2018 for Project Scientist and Other Posts

Ministry of Earth Sciences has invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Project Scientists, Technical Assistants, Field Assistants & Other. The total number of posts is 62. The application should be submitted online by 14th March 2018 on the link given below and the hard copy of the applications have to be submitted before 21st March 2018.The candidates will be selected on the basis of a screening test/written test. The appointment of the candidates on the the project positions will be for a period of 1 year and, thereafter, it may be extended. The place of posting of the selected candidates will be Chennai or at any other location in India including Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep Islands.   • Project Scientist C (PS-C) – 17 posts
  • Project Scientist B (PS-B) – 33 posts
  • Technical Assistant (TA) – 3 posts
  • Field Assistant (FA) – 8 posts
    Total Posts – 62 posts

Age Limit:

  • Technical Assistant: Maximum 28 years.
  • Field Assistant: Maximum 28 years.
  • Project Scientist D: Maximum 45 years.
  • For Project Scientist C: Maximum 40 years.
  • Project Scientist B: Maximum 35 years.

Educational Qualifications

  • Project Scientist D: Candidates should have passed Master’s Degree in Oceanography / Marine Science / Physics / Mathematics or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute atleast 60% marks OR Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with minimum of 60% marks. Candidates should also have minimum seven years of R&D experience in coastal processes studies, field measurements and numerical modeling.
  • Field Assistant: Candidates should have passed 10th (SSLC or Matriculation) from recognized Board
