Garuda Vasudha

Garuda Vasudha is the advanced light helicopter of Geological Survey of India (GSI) equipped with modern sensors for exploring hidden mineral resources. The Garuda Vasudha a dhruv category helicopter has been indigenously built by HAL and the HGSS comprising four aerogeophysical sensors. The specially equipped helicopter will be used to locate important minerals up to a depth of 300 meters across vast swathes of the country. By acquisition of this copter India joins six countries that have heli-borne geo-survey systems.
