UK’s Northern Ireland gears up for G-8 summit

The 39^th G8 summit will be held in the United Kingdom’s Northern Ireland on June 17-18, 2013.
G-8

The Group of Eight (G8) is a group made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Initially the group had only 6 member Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and United States were the initial member countries and it was then known as G6 or group of six.
Russia is the country to last join the group in 1997, making it G-8 from G-7.
