UK abandons application similar to Aarogya Setu app
The United Kingdom has decided to ditch its centralised COVID-19 contact-tracing mobile application. Instead, the country would adopt a system developed by Apple and Google that has stricter privacy standards. The abandoned app has centralised architecture – contact data would be transmitted for processing by a back-end team and it included a self-reporting feature like that of Aarogya Setu app.
