Udyanotsav inaugurated by the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan

On February 4, 2020, President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated Udyanotsav at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Mughal Gardens will be opened to the public between February 5, 2020 and March 8, 2020.

Highlights

The main highlights of the Udyanotsav of 2020 are Exotic flowers, tulips and bulbous flowers. Online booking to visit the gardens has been availed for the citizens in the website of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Mughal Gardens

The Mughal Gardens have been built in the Persian Style. It was influenced by the Charbagh structure. Charbagh is a quadrilateral layout of gardens that is mentioned in Quran. The most famous examples of this type of garden are the Chahrbagh-e-Abbasi in Iran and the Taj Mahal in India.

Rashtrapti Bhavan

Rashtrapti Bhavan is the largest residence of any head of the state in the world. The Construction was ordered by the Governor-General of Fort William. It was constructed between 1799 and 1803.
