Tamil nadu : ‘Dam 999’Banned
DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M.Karunanidhi demanded ban on the release of the controversial movie “Dam 999”. It was accompanied by the protests against the movie in the state and later Tamil Nadu Government banned the controversial film “Dam 999” in the State. The ban comes after leaders of various political parties demanded that the Government must ban the film to avoid any law and order problem. They alleged that the film was made with an intention to create panic among the people of Tamil Nadu and Kerala as it depicted the collapse of the dam and how Lakhs of people, including women and children, being washed away.
