Midday Meal to be monitored by a Committee formed by HRD Ministry
A committee has been set up by the centre to review the accomplishment of its flagship midday meal scheme and supervise better quality of food served, effectiveness of the supply chain and guaranteed hygienic standards.
A programme headed by HRD Ministry had alerted 12 Bihar districts after flaws were found in executing the scheme. The committee would comprise of minister and 20 members from the government side and as well as from the civil society group.
