Menon first to visits China after changes in Communist Party of China
India’s National Security Advisor and negotiator in border talks with China, Shiv Shankar Menon, was the first top ranking Indian official to visit China after changes announced in the Communist Party of China.

China seeks diplomatic signal from India that it does not want to join forces with Vietnam and Philippines in the passport controversy sparked by China. The three countries have protested against Beijing’s embossing the map of China on areas controlled and claimed by them on their passports.
