IRCTC becomes first and only government corporation in India to launch a chat-enabled help-desk service program ‘Ask Disha’
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered chatbot– Ask Disha (Digital Interaction to Seek Help Anytime) to answer customer queries pertaining to various services offered by IRCTC. It is a first-of-its-kind initiative, which is jointly developed and initiated by IRCTC and CoRover Pvt. Ltd. With this, IRCTC has become the first and only government corporation in India to launch a chat-enabled helpdesk service program. Ask Disha will take the stress out of travel bookings and help provide smooth travel experience to the domestic/foreign traveller on the Indian Railways network. It is a special computer programme designed to simulate conversation with users, especially over the internet. It will support several regional languages and will be voice-enabled and will soon be integrated with IRCTC Android App in the near future. The essential features of chatbot includes zero waiting time for the query to be answered and ability to provide round-the-clock customer support.
