Indian Navy Day
Navy Day is celebrated in India every year on the 4th of December to mark the role and the splendour of achievements of the Naval forces to the country.
The date of 4th December was chosen as it marks the date of Operation Trident of 1971 which resulted in the strategic victory of the Indian Navy as Indian Navy sank PNS Khaibar and 3 other Pakistani vessels, also destroyed the Karachi harbour fuel storage tanks.
