Delhi court frames Irom Sharmila under attempt to suicide

A Delhi Court has framed the charges of attempting to suicide against social activist Irom Sharmila.

Who is Irom Sharmila?
Irom Sharmila who is also known by his sobriquet ‘Iron Lady of Manipur’, is a social activist who is protesting against the Armed Forces Special Power Act 1958, demanding its repeal. She hails from Manipur, India and blames this Act for violence in Manipur and other parts of northeast India. In protest of this Act, she  has been on fast for about 12 years.
