‘Coal Mitra’ Portal launched

The Ministry of Power has launched ‘Coal Mitra’ Web Portal to facilitate flexibility in utilization of domestic coal. The government has now allowed swapping of coal between PSUs and the Private Sector. Earlier in May, the ministry of coal had already permitted coal swapping among central and state-owned power plants to have operational efficiency. This will help to promote optimum utilisation of coal by private as well as public power companies. The Portal will help in reducing the operational and logistic costs and enhance transparency. State and central generation companies can make use of the portal to display information related to normative fixed and variable charges of electricity for the previous month and margin available for the additional generation in order to help the utilities to identify stations for coal transferring. The web portal will have information like operational and financial parameters of each coal based station and distance of power plant form the coal mine etc.

Coal mitra web portal was launched by Union Power Ministry and NOT by Coal Ministry as claimed by your post. Kindly correct it and please note many aspirants simply believe whatever you write in your posts, so be responsible.
