China’s Spring Festival marks the year of Rat

The Chinese New Year, which is popularly known as the Spring Festival in China recently fell on January 25, 2020. The festival falls on the beginning of Spring and the date of the festival is determined by the Lunar calendar. As per the Chinese astrology, this year marks the year of Rat.

The celebrations of the new year have been postponed, as the country is hit by the deadly ‘Corona virus’. The virus has caused more than 200 deaths in China, so far. With nearly 12000 people of the country are said to be infected, the count increases day by day. Some infections have been noted in other countries as well.
