Apex Court issues guidelines to check eve-teasing
The Supreme Court issued new guidelines to State Governments and Union Territories to curb the menace of eve-teasing at public places. It directed them to depute plain-clothes female police officers in the precincts of public places. The court felt it necessary to issue these guidelines as there is "no uniform law" to tackle the menace.
